Brattle worked with academics and subject matter experts to create the Malawi Early Grades Reading Assessment program for standard levels 1–2 non-English speakers and second language learners.
- Worked in close partnership with the Malawian Ministry of Education and the Malawian Institute of Education.
- Developed a full scope and sequence of skills for the program. The skill instruction and application appeared in multilingual teacher instruction guides and student components.
- Provided full-service editorial, image management, design, and production services for more than 180 daily lesson plans, dozens of full-color leveled readers in English and Chichewa, and decodable reader stories and activity cards.
- Provided field support and in-country training to develop instructional design and development competency.
