Brattle’s The Last Akaway Wins 2014 eLit Bronze Award

The Last Akaway: A Spirit Animal Adventure eBook received the Juvenile/Young Adult Fiction bronze award, given by the 2014 eLit Awards. Published by Brattle Publishing Group, this is the first book in a triology by Gary Karton. The Last Akaway has previously received a Bronze Award in Preteen Fiction Fantasy category of the 2013 Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards.

“At Brattle Publishing we recognize the importance of electronic publishing and the value of opportunities it creates for more readers to engage with our books,” said Richard A. Lena, Brattle Publishing’s founder and Publisher. “We are thrilled that Gary Karton and The Last Akaway have been recognized by the eLit Book Awards.”

The eLit Awards recognize the best in digital publishing of the year. All electronic books released in 2013 and January 2014 were eligible for consideration in 65 different e-Lit categories. Now in the fifth annual award cycle, the eLit Awards are an unaffiliated awards program. The judging process includes a panel with experts from a range of fields, including ebook publishing and design.
